Form 3 students participate in overseas study visit

Each year Form 3 students participate in a study visit outside of Hong Kong. This is a part of their MYP experience and these places and activities have been planned specifically for an educational purpose and experience. Students are able to broaden their international horizons, enhance their communication skills, experience opportunities in community service and develop their inter-cultural awareness.

For many students this will be their first trip abroad without their parents and through these experiences they learn about other cultures, themselves, their teachers, make new friendships and work together.

This year our students will visit Bali, Japan, Laos, New Zealand and Vietnam from, 19th to 27 March, 2015. Each of the trips have a variety of service opportunities from teaching English, building and renovating a village house, visiting the local orphanage. In addition to ‘work’ students learn about the culture of the indigenous people, go sight-seeing and experience exciting activities such as jungle trekking, snow shoe trekking, and water rafting and fishing.

Many students return to Hong Kong exhausted but more open-minded, confident and reflective about themselves and the world.
