Visiting Street Sleepers in Mong Kok
Homelessness is an increasingly serious social problem in Hong Kong. To offer an opportunity for our students to serve and to understand the needs of the homeless, we joined one of the charity programs organised by The Salvation Army.
On 7th May 2015, a group of CSS students visited street sleepers at Mong Kok. They helped to distribute basic necessities and some DIY gifts which were made and prepared by our students and PTA parents’ volunteers. Students learnt about the difficulties of homeless people in a more concrete way through this service. They intend to set up a committee at CSS to recruit more volunteers in the future to help homeless people in Hong Kong.
