A magnitude 7.0 earthquake struckHaiti on 12th January. The capital Port-au-Prince, major citiesCarrefour and Jacmel were seriously damaged. It is considered to be the worst earthquakeexperienced in the last 200 years; as many as 3 million people were affected.Thousands of people urgently need search and rescue, emergency health care,shelter, food and clean water.
As an internationally-minded school, CSS students andstaff wish to show our concern and offer support to the people of Haiti. Theschool held a Casual Dress Day on 20th January and raised over HK$18,000This amount will be donated to Medecins Sans Frontieres to supporttheir emergency relief work in Haiti.
