- teaching experience in IBDP Language A and Language B courses
- knowledge of HKDSE Eng language

1. Librarian

Creative Secondary School (CSS) celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2016. The library, which provides services to more than 800 staff and students, now has a substantial collection of books and electronic resources that support teaching and learning across the school. Curriculums taught at CSS include the International Baccalaureate Middle Years and Diploma Programmes and the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education. The library team has an active voice in the school community and works closely with colleagues across the school to promote literacy and love of reading, both through the curriculum and co-curricular activities, such as Battle of the Books. We also play a key role in supporting the development of students and teachers’ research and digital literacy skills.

We are looking for to recruit a dynamic new Librarian who has:

  • Native or near-native proficiency in English;
  • Experience of working in a school library, preferably at secondary school level;
  • Experience of developing positive relationships with students, including through co-curricular activities;
  • The proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with teaching staff;
  • A formal qualification related to library management and/or teaching;
  • A love of reading and a wide knowledge of texts in English;
  • A strong understanding and appreciation of information literacy and principles of academic honesty;
  • Familiarity with modern library cataloguing systems and standards.
