After 3 years of pandemic disruption, the Hong Kong Juniors Chess Championships was finally held on 27 Nov 2022. There were more than 130 students joining and playing in the competition and some of our CSS students also played on Sunday. WONG Ngo Athan, our student won the 2nd runner-up in the Championships on the day. We are grateful to see our former founding principal Mr. Cheung Siu Ming supported the students on that day.
The Hong Kong Junior Chess Club is a registered non-profit society, to promote chess (international chess) among the juniors in Hong Kong. They mainly organize 3 junior chess competitions every year - The Hong Kong Junior Chess Championships, The Inter-school Chess Championships and the Hong Kong Junior Rapid Chess Championships.
The Hong Kong Junior Chess Championship has been running for over twenty years in Hong Kong and the Creative Secondary School has cooperatively sponsored the venue for this annual event since 2014. To support and promote the whole-person development of our students, our school has provided a wide range of activities and competitions for our students and our school is fully engaged in various social affairs, which as our school motto "Through this place we thrive, we serve and find our place in the world."
