As part of last year's DSE English unit on Popular Culture, Form 5 students entered the 'From Player to Page' writing competition, which challenged participants to compose stories, scripts or reviews inspired by video games. Despite fierce competition from several elite schools in Hong Kong, four CSS students were selected as finalists in the senior category, including Justin Chan Wing Laam, Smey Kaur, Alex Tsai and Sehansa Wijewardena. This summer, at the competition award ceremony in Causeway Bay, Smey was awarded first place in her category, and Alex was awarded runner-up. Alex received a writing tablet, and Smey won a tablet, a web camera and a certificate for voice coaching with All Voice Talent, and an online writing workshop with Lancaster University. Congratulations to all finalists for such an outstanding achievement!
