Strengthening Bonds: A Memorable Visit from Hangzhou Yuhua Greentown School

From 20 to 25 January 2025, our sister school, Hangzhou Yuhua Greentown School, visited CSS, following our students' trip to Hangzhou, China in October. The visit created a wonderful opportunity for teachers and students from both schools to build strong connections.

During their stay, fifteen of our students warmly hosted their Hangzhou buddies, sharing lives and experiences together and forming strong bonds, even in just a short period of time.

One of the highlights of the visit was the lesson shadowing programme, where Hangzhou students followed their CSS Learning Buddies and teachers to experience our diverse curriculum. They also enjoyed excursions to Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), and Hong Kong Disneyland.

Our teachers explained various educational pathways in Hong Kong, such as the HKDSE and  IBDP, providing valuable insights into different academic options.

The visit culminated in the Creative Chinese Festival, celebrating the Lunar New Year, where the Hangzhou students delivered impressive performances, including singing and poetry recitation.

Additionally, our teachers and supervisors engaged in meaningful exchanges with their Hangzhou counterparts, sharing educational philosophies.

We are grateful to the students and teachers from Hangzhou Yuhua Greentown School and our own community members for making this visit a success, strengthening the bonds within the CSS community. We look forward to future collaborations and continued cultural exchanges.
