CSS Student Leaders are the school’s role models. Student Leaders play important leadership roles not only within the Upper School but also the whole school community. The team of Student Leaders are elected by teachers. The two Student Leaders with the most votes will become the Head and Deputy Head.

 

Student Leaders are expected to be:

 

  • Polite, well-mannered and organised

  • Committed and have a high sense of responsibility

  • Well-presented in uniform and appearance

  • A positive role model and leader within the school community

  • Ability to communicate effectively with teachers & school community members to discuss school events

  • Willing to speak at assemblies and other school events as requested

  • Ability to maintain good standards of work and behaviour in class and school activities

 

Role expectations:

 

  • Lead from the front - be enthusiastic and committed to CSS

  • Support and promote whole school events

  • Take an active role in ensuring that all students are safe at break and lunchtimes

  • Advise in regard to student needs on campus

  • Work with new students / MY1 / F1 as mentor buddies

  • Participate in Creative Week in the role of Student Leaders

  • Attend all Student Leader meetings
